Overview

Kalda Farm is a holiday centre located in Iigaste village on the banks of Väike Emajõgi river. It is close to Valga/Valka (20 km) but situated in quiet and peaceful surroundings amidst forests and fields.
• Kalda Farm is divided into a camping site with camping houses, hostel accomodation and private B&B rooms. For long term guests there is a holiday home as well. Ample space ensures undisturbed privacy.
• In summer there is a lot to discover for hikers, botanists, game and bird watchers. In the river that flows round the farm area you can swim and fish. Canoe tours can be arranged. In winter all kinds of winter sports can be enjoyed in nearby Otepää. A pub, a sauna, campfire places and barbecue houses contribute to your entertainment. .

Location

Kalda Farm is located 20 km away from the Valga town, 280 km away from the Tallinn city (capital of Estonia), 180 km away from the Riga (capital of Latvia). The well-known Karula National Park is located in easy reach. It is of special interest to lovers of game and bird watching and botanists.

Directions

The nearest bus stops are in Laatre (6 km) on the Tartu-Otepää-Valga line and Iigaste tee (1.5 km) on the Valga-Vilaski-Laatre-Antsla line. Pick-up service from Valga/Valka or the bus stops should be ordered by phone well in advance.
Drivers should leave the Tartu-Valga road (A 3) at the junction of road no. 72 towards Otepää and pass through Tsirguliina to Laatre. Signposted "Kalda talu" from Laatre.
From Valga take the Valga-Tambre-Vilaski road towards Otepää, cross the Väike Emajõgi river and turn right just after the bridge. Turn right again after 1 km. Signposted by EYHA logo.

Dining

Lunches/dinners can be ordered for groups. Individual travellers are recommended to use the restaurants within a radius of 10 km or make use of our self-catering facilities. Nearest shop 6 km.

For larger camping groups (up to 80 persons) there is a summer kitchen fully equipped with gas cookers, pots and pans.

Check-in 15.00 hrs; check-out before noon.
